fwiw I've checked Ubuntu 21.10/22.04, Fedora 35/36 and Arch. I'm getting spammed by libinput messages about the system being slow. A couple of patches in libinput were merged to master about month ago that rate limits some messages that previously were not, and should at least stop the spamming of messages, if you use a wireless mouse for example the journal gets flooded if you're doing a lot of mouse movements.
