Actually, I've already upgraded to oneric and this bug seems not to
appear anymore.

So, I can close the bug, if someone needs a backport, I think he can
reopen it.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 805211] [NEW] AMD RADEON HD 6450 random pixels on display

2011-07-03 Thread Arseny Klimovsky
Public bug reported:

I'm trying to use a AMD RADEON HD 6450 video card, but it fails to show a login
screen, see screen photo attached.
I've tried different kernel (2.6.38-8, 2.6.38-10, 2.6.39-3) and driver versions
(from main repository and from xorg-edgers ppa), no success.
The fglrx drivers makes a SegFault on my system. I tried to use vesa and
removed packages, related to radeon, but it still does not show the login
screen correctly, see the same screen photo.

The logs and info attached automatically are from the situation where a
vesa driver expected to be used.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 374034] Re: black rectangles on Radeon HD 3200

2009-06-14 Thread Arseny Klimovsky
Same problem since 9.04 with an ATI Radeon Mobilty 3650HD and an Intel
mainboard chipset on a 64bit system. I'm using the fglrx driver from
ATI. I've also tried the free radeonhd driver and there was no changes.

It is definitely not radeonhd driver bug, because it also appears using fglrx
driver.
May be someone can guess from the photo which package can produce such effects?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 374034] Re: black rectangles on Radeon HD 3200

2009-06-14 Thread Arseny Klimovsky
I was sure my card is not supported by radeon driver :)

But I works, and I don't see any black rectangles for 30 minutes.

If they appear, I'll post about it.

How can I help to investigate the bug in radeonhd driver? (I'm not
satisfied with radeon 2D performance)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 374034] [NEW] black rectangles on Radeon HD 3200

2009-05-09 Thread Arseny Klimovsky
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd

Sometimes (in practically every application) black rectangles appear on

correctly.
