I switched to virtualbox and there this issue is not bothering me anymore. I have no custom /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. finally did one tweek to get it working... :-) moved /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 out ldd picked /lib/libc.so.6 and bingo... everything is working fine now...
