[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1774242] Re: Wacom touchscreens should use libinput, not wacom driver
I tried the upstream patch on xserver-xorg-input-wacom 1:0.36.1-0ubuntu1 on 18.04, this issue is fixed. commit 31a5405f7d9405bc514585709161287b0c67386e Author: Jason Gerecke Date: Mon Sep 9 15:32:17 2019 -0700 Change default gesture mode: touchpad=on, touchscreen=off A large number of users run the GNOME desktop which has its own gesture engine that performs actions on touchscreens. These gestures are much better than the ones we provide, so lets disable our engine by default for touchscreens. Note that GNOME doesn't do anything with touchpad gestures, so we leave them enabled by default. Note that this change will effectively cause a feature regression for users of other environments that do *not* have their own gesture engines (Cinnamon, KDE, MATE, XFCE, etc.). Users will want to add an xorg.conf.d snippet with `Option "Gesture" "on"` to bring back the functionality. @Timo, I found the xserver-xorg-input-wacom-hwe-18.04 had this patch already. But xserver-xorg-input-wacom didn't have, when I tried to upgrade xserver-xorg-input-wacom-hwe, found it will remove the ubuntu-desktop and old xserver-xorg-* packages. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1780076] Re: 18.04 login screen is skewed/distorted (incorrect stride)
A new patch to disable Huawei chipsets in udev rules. First, the udev rules was placed in wrong place. /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/ can't be read, we need push it into /lib/udev/rules.d/. /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/61-gdm.rules => /lib/udev/rules.d/61-gdm.rules Second, the rules need change the running time directory from /run/gdm to /run/gdm3. # disable Wayland on Hi1710 chipsets ATTR{vendor}=="0x19e5", ATTR{device}=="0x1711", RUN+="/bin/sh -c '/bin/mkdir /run/gdm3 ; /usr/bin/printf \"[daemon]\nWaylandEnable=false\" >> /run/gdm3/custom.conf'" ** Patch added: "ubuntu_disable_wayland_huawei_chipsets.patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1780076/+attachment/5160787/+files/ubuntu_disable_wayland_huawei_chipsets.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1780076 Title: 18.04 login screen is skewed/distorted (incorrect stride) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1780076/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Sorry for my wrong format with the input and output, you just change your configSynapticsMy.sh like below. Then it could work, and the other line is the output of below command. LD, I thought the error is in configSynapticsMy.sh, could you paste the content of it? The synaptics.sh looks good, and it just show the touchpad was drived correctly.
