Does disabling synaptic help ? aneesh-kumar, if you disable Synaptics driver, then you'll probable need to use an external mouse instead of your touchpad. --- I'm using the mainstream kernel for now. mouse pointer (of my Acer's AS3810T Synaptics touchpad) freezes every time I do the following things: 1) select Switch from user... (in GNOME fallback session, from the session menu); 2) at the LightDM screen I log in another user (e. g. Guest); mouse cursor works in that another user session, but after switching back to the 1st user I discover the frozen pointer; to unfreeze it, I need to log out from the user session (using keyboard only: Ctrl+Alt+Del and select Log Out) and log in again (sometimes, but not every time, suspend resume helps, so I don't need to log out). --- Do you have any ideas how I can help?
