To reproduce boot the version considered for alpha 2 of amd64 of lubuntu
on my paritcular hp pavilion dv6 1230us laptop. then try to move the
mouse cursor or click with the mouse with the touchpad to isntall on
this laptop. I have installed xenial before on this laptop and it was
working in the full install.

Description:Ubuntu Xenial Xerus (development branch)

I expected the touchpad to work and proived two buttons and a
scrollwheel on the side. Instead I try to ues the touchpad and get no
apparent result. right clicking does not bring up a context menu and
does not bring up a cursor. the keyboard does work. I have a usb wifi
that works out of the box with lubuntu but this gets hard to use on the
installer and selecting partion type with keyboard only.

login in lightdm. There will be no installed cursor when you get in but
the mouse will highlight ui elements if you move over them but the
cursor is invisible in this vm.

To reproduce boot the April 5th dialy amd64 live iso of lubuntu and and
select try lubuntu without installing. Plymoth will show up and youi ar
egreeted with a screen of random shapes. The underlying system still
seems to work for user input for the keyboard as control alt t opened up
a terminal and pressing alt f2 the run shorcut brought up a dialog and
lauunched firefox although a corrupted window launched.

I expected a readable GUI that I could navigate.

Instead the UI looked entierly corrupted in X.

To reproduce install the Lubuntu amd 64 iso from this zsync link zsync 
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/daily-live/20150324.2/vivid-desktop-amd64.iso.zsync.
 Then install it with manaul partioning and an ext4 / partion. Then the install 
completes and restart now and login. No cursor will appear on the screen at 
first login.

I can reproduce this on ubuntu with unity as a guest when using a
resolution above 1024x768 in a guest in ubuntu 14.04 and with a daily
iso of 15.04. I have only reproduced this in lubuntu  if I installed a
composite manager compton and set resolution above 1024x768. Lubuntu
14.10 vms in spice did not immediatly trigger the bug with high
resolution. killing compton and logging out and the display turns back
to normal.
