[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1011228] Re: Touchscreen: Left mouse button stays clicked and multitouch doesn't work anymore

2012-06-10 Thread C_Classic
** Package changed: utouch (Ubuntu) => xorg-server (Ubuntu)

** Description changed:

As soon as I touch my Acer T231H multi-touch touchscreen, the left mouse
button stays pressed. Reconnecting all HID devices does not release the mouse
button. Only restarting lightdm (or the whole computer) helps.
But I am still able to use some applications after I touched the screen (For
example Chromium and Rhythmbox). Other applications such as Nautilus on the
other hand don't accept any clicks after that.

Another problem is that multitouch doesn't work anymore. While I was
able to pinch-zoom in 11.10 eog I can't do this anymore in 12.04.

- PS: I am unsure about the package. (Could also be xinput/xorg.)
- PPS: The touchscreen is shown as "Quanta Computer, Inc. Optical Touch Screen"
by lsusb.

On LUbuntu 12.04, the mouse pointer also jumps around after I used that
command. The only difference is that the system doesn't freeze.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 990466] Re: Weird behaviour of touchscreen and system freezes after using xinput

2012-04-29 Thread C_Classic
** Description changed:

I have an Acer T231H touchscreen monitor connected to my notebook. To make
the touchscreen work properly I always used this command: xinput set-prop 'Acer
T231H' 'Coordinate Transformation Matrix' 0.545454 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1
This should configure the touchscreen to be mapped only to my external screen.

But since the update to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (fresh install) I get the following
errors after issuing the command:
  * The mouse jumps left and right between two points when I try to use the
touchscreen. (Even though one of the points is at the right location)
  * The whole desktop freezes after a few seconds of "using" the touchscreen.
("sudo /etc/init.d/lightdm restart" recovers the system)

Do you need any additional information?

+ * You can still move the mouse.
+ * If you used map-to-crtc, the touchscreen works correctly now.
+ * But the system doesn't react to any clicks.
+ * Music keeps playing. (So the system itself isn't dead)
+ * You can use Ctrl+Alt+F1 to switch to a terminal.
