[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1298578] Re: Brightness is low after resume from suspend, can't be increased
I have the same problem. One thing I've noticed is that opening the GUI in Settings > Brightness and setting Brightness to 100% changes the files /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness and /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/actual_brightness, adding the value "15" (in my system). This does nothing with brigthness. But in my directory /sys/class/backlight/ there is another directory, called "intell_backlight", with the same files. I've changed the "brightness" file inside this directory and it changes the brightness of the screen. My Solution is: cat /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/max_brightness > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness This restores the brightness to 100%. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1298578 Title: Brightness is low after resume from suspend, can't be increased To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1298578/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1001282] [NEW] Disable Touchpad While Typing doesn't Work
Public bug reported: I have a Dell Inspiro m4050 notebook and installed ubuntu 12.04 LTS recently. I've tryed dconf-editor to edit the "Disable touchpad while typing" configuration, but it is already checked. But, without any evident error, the touchpad still works while I'm typing. So I need to disable touchpad "tapping" to avoid errors while I'm typing. I have a medium knowledge of linux and Ubuntu, but I don't know what logs to look for errors. dmesg seems alright and so the Xorg.0.log. xserver-xorg-input-synaptics package details: $ apt-cache policy xserver-xorg-input-synaptics xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: Instalado: 1.5.99.902-0ubuntu5.1 Candidato: 1.5.99.902-0ubuntu5.1 Tabela de versão: *** 1.5.99.902-0ubuntu5.1 0 500 http://br.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1.5.99.902-0ubuntu5 0 500 http://br.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: touchpad -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1001282 Title: Disable Touchpad While Typing doesn't Work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1001282/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
