[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1660388] [NEW] Window decorator corruption
Public bug reported: After switching back from another user or after lock screen I occasionally get corruption. This usually takes a few weeks after a restart to reproduce. Might be related to nvidia drivers or mesa, or compiz, or something else. Experienced this before recent update to mesa 12.0.6, so I don't think this is a mesa regression. Decorations shown in jpg move with window, but are not selectable. Opening against unity, as the unity taskbar often shares similar corruption. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1154153] Re: Nvidia module crash: GPU has fallen off the bus.
This has some interesting, and possibly related reading. http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/debian-ubuntu-rhel-fedora-linux-nvidia- nvrm-gpu-fallen-off-bus/ The suggested solution is to turn on persistence for the nvidia card using # /usr/bin/nvidia-smi -pm 1 This was never an issue with 3.2.0-38+310.14-0ubuntu0.1 *(the same version I am currently running). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1080882] Re: Creative HS-950 USB headset causes X BUG, can't click outside window
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1007575 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1007575 Christoph Keller, I need a favor. I need you to verify this fix now in the proposed kernel. If it does not get verified this patch will be removed. The precise kernel is 3.2.0-38.59. and in the quantal kernel is 3.5.0-24.37 Unfortunately since my headset has now died, I can not verify that the latest kernel indeed solves the problem. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1122177] Re: Citrix window minimizes after moving window with ALT+ mouse 1 move.
I have also noticed what i will call the scared window effect. Which I feel is somehow related to whatever is going on in this bug. Reproduce procedure 1-2 from above. 3. Hold ALT + Left click on an application window. 4. Start moving mouse 5. Release left click. *** window minimizes like above *** 6. Release alt. 7. Left click icon in unity bar. 8. Move mouse toward citrix window. *** Citrix window re-minimizes *** (like it's scared of being used) Video available here. http://people.canonical.com/~chiluk/citrix/scaredwindow.ogv I am not able to reproduce this exactly in gnome, but gnome does occassionally give me a minimize/maximize/minimize sequence when running through this test. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1122177 Title: Citrix window minimizes after moving window with ALT+ mouse 1 move.
