[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 830949] Re: [Intel N10 Graphics] Need Compiz' Copy to Texture plugin so can display on multi-head layouts bigger than the max GL texture size
The code for this plugin had not been thoroughly tested and enabling it without enough user feedback was considered risky. There were a lot of compiz issues at the time. This one had a lower priority unfortunately. Sam confirms btw that there is no pre-requisite for this plugin. The easiest solution to validate it before the change is committed is for user of N10 systems to activate and confirm that the plugin does allow them to drive a multi-head setup. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/830949 Title: [Intel N10 Graphics] Need Compiz' Copy to Texture plugin so can display on multi-head layouts bigger than the max GL texture size To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/830949/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

To verify that the plugin works: 1. Call 'ccsm' on the command line to load the configuration tool, look for 'texture' and you should see the 'Copy to texture' plugin 2. Enable the plugin 3. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 691653] Re: compiz crashes when using alt-tab (the radeon driver kills it)
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected running-unity ubuntu ** Description changed: Binary package hint: compiz While alt-tabbing with compiz (latest version, 1:0.9.2.1+glibmainloop3-0ubuntu4), i got this crasher. I've noticed crashers like this for a while since i switched over to natty, but most of the time i was getting traces that were mostly stack smashers according to smspillaz. Withi this one, i think i've put the finger on a more probable cause for the crasher. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 628727] Re: Screen corruption make UNE unusable
This really depends on the type of card. I have an ati here as well and can reproduce the rendering corruption. So this is not a Unity bug as much as it is a driver rendering issue. I'm keeping it open on Unity to keep the issue on the radar, but really handing that over to Bryce and Chris to see how they can help with the driver problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/628727 Title: Screen corruption make UNE unusable ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
