[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1072531] Re: [regression] X11 screen blanking after 10 minutes with no UI to change it
Clean install will not change anything, because I installed ubuntu 12.10 (not upgraded), and still have this bug. Seems to be a bug in Ubuntu (config). To permanently correct this, add this line at the top of /home/YOU/.profile : xset s 0 0 The file should look just like this : # ~/.profile: executed by the command interpreter for login shells. # This file is not read by bash(1), if ~/.bash_profile or ~/.bash_login # exists. # see /usr/share/doc/bash/examples/startup-files for examples. # the files are located in the bash-doc package. xset s 0 0 (and some other lines) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1072531 Title: [regression] X11 screen blanking after 10 minutes with no UI to change it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/1072531/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 973096] Re: Nvidia driver causes xorg crash
Hi everyone ! On Quantal I still have the bug with 304.51, but experimental 310.14 seems to be okay for the moment ! Testing is simple for me, scrolling this web page make 304.51 crashes every time, but for the moment 310.14 resists :) Most of the time nouveau opensource driver is more efficient and less- buggy, I recommend it until you need something not provided (DisplayPort does not work well for example). Hope it helps... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973096 Title: Nvidia driver causes xorg crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nvidia-drivers-ubuntu/+bug/973096/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1080643] [NEW] Display Port not detected with nouveau (at boot)
Public bug reported: I found that DisplayPort should be found if a screen is connected at boot, but it does not work for me. (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/NouveauDisplayPort#DisplayPort_support_for_Nouveau) Xrandr give me this : LVDS-1 connected 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 345mm x 194mm 1920x1080 59.9*+ 60.0 1680x1050 60.0 1400x1050 60.0 1280x1024 59.9 1280x960 59.9 1152x864 60.0 1024x768 59.9 800x60059.9 640x48059.4 720x40059.6 640x40060.0 640x35059.8 VGA-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) The Nvidia driver detect the DisplayPort.
