[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1121579] Re: Xorg freeze
In an attempt to try to find a work around I made the following change: Settings Desktop Effects Advanced Composting type OpenGL Qt graphics system Native (it was Render). I've now been running for nearly a week without seeing any freezes, it was at least one a day. As this is a KDE setting (I'm using Kubuntu) I guess it's not much help to the OP, sorry. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-310 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1121579 Title: Xorg freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-310/+bug/1121579/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1121579] Re: Xorg freeze
There's not much description in the bug report but I have marked it as affects me because I am suffering from Xorg freezes since updating to Raring. I'm using Kubuntu and nvidia-313-updates (313.30-0ubuntu1). I have tried nvidia-304-updates and nvidia-310-updates but they both suffer from this problem. Prior to the update I never saw a freeze on this PC. When the freeze happens the cursor stops moving and no keys work, however I am still able to power down the PC by pressing the power button.
