[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1037657] [NEW] Asus B121 integrated wacom tablet not recognized

2012-08-16 Thread Gianluca Della Vedova
Public bug reported:

The Asus B121/EP121 tablet comes with a Wacom digitizer/stylus, which is
currently not included in libwacom/data.
I am also including the file xinput-list which contains the output of the
xinput list command.

As a consequence, the eraser is not recognized, nor it produces a mouse
right-click when pressed.

I would like to thank you for you work.

Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 865209] Re: [arrandale] GPU lockup render.IPEHR: 0x01840000

2011-10-26 Thread Gianluca Della Vedova
Bryce,
I have just tried for the first time since my bugreport, albeit on a
different monitor.
The problem seems to be disappeared.
For a week I will not be able to check again on the same monitor where
the original problem has appeared.

Thanks for your work

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 592676] [NEW] Xorg freeze when adding an external monitor

2010-06-11 Thread Gianluca Della Vedova
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 591929 ***

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

This is likely to be a duplicate of bug #591929.

On the same hardware (Dell Latitude E4310), X freezes any time I try to add an
external monitor/projector via the VGA port.
Also in my case the LiveCD works correctly.
I am using the laptop VGA port, and not a docking station as #591929.

Moreover, I have tried installing Maverick, without any success (the bug
is the same in Lucid and Maverick).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 591929] Re: Dell Latitude E4310 Dual Monitors freezing

2010-06-11 Thread Gianluca Della Vedova
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xorg

I have installed Lucid on E4310 and everything works fine. Now I'm
trying to connect dual FullHD Dell screens via a docking station's DVI
ports. First of all, if I boot the laptop while plugged into the dock,
it just freezes as outlined below. If I first boot it and then plug into
the dock, the following happens: in the System->Preferences->Monitor I
can see 3 panels available: laptop LCD and two Dell monitors(those are
off). However, when I try to disable e4310's panel and enable two Dell
monitors, all screens just go blank and system completely freezes up. No
SSH/Cltr+alt+bkspc/Cltr+alt+F1 possible. Also that is not a kernel panic
as no keyboard lights are blinking.

However everything works if I only enable the laptop's LCD and only one
of the Dell monitors. I Have also tried disabling the laptop panel prior
to enabling the second Dell monitor via lxrandr It allows me to
completely disable the built-in panel(leaving just one DVI Dell running)
but then as soon as I enable the second Dell, eveything just freezes the
  same way.

Also after hours of fighting with this, I discovered that the problem
doesn't happen if I boot the liveCD. I'm able to enable both DVI
  monitors on it just fine.
