[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1682978] Re: Random Screen Rotation
Today I grabbed the daily build of 17.10 and booted into it from a USB drive. It still rotates--but at times I can't predict, the screen will blank out and then come back rotated. (Should I create a new bug for 17.10?) I should mention that this happens on my laptop, an HP Pavilion with AMD graphics. On my desktop, which has an Nvidia 960, it doesn't. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1682978 Title: Random Screen Rotation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1682978/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1682978] Re: Random Screen Rotation
For me, it's counterclockwise. I tried setting the "lock rotation" option referenced in https://askubuntu.com/questions/874487/ubuntu- gnome-16-10-screen-orientation-spontaneously-changes (had to switch to Unity 8 to find it), but it didn't make a difference when I logged back in under Cinnamon, the windowing environment I usually use.
