[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1227569] Re: individual characters frequently corrupted

2014-01-30 Thread Jmadero
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1098334 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1098334

What can I do to get this bug out of invalid state. If you google font
corruption ubuntu 13.10 quite a few people are reporting it. It's
pretty nasty as it affects every piece of software and makes font
rendering unreadable. It must be an intel issue and if that's the case
it'd be best to go to an older driver (13.04)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 878610] [NEW] Auto Monitor Detect No Longer Functional

2011-10-19 Thread Jmadero
Public bug reported:

Not positive that this is in utils but couldn't think of what package
would cause the issue. Basically before if I plugged in my tv through
the HDMI port after Ubuntu was fully on, it'd auto detect the monitor,
turn off my laptop monitor and turn on the tv with the display set at
the appropriate configuration. Now if I plug in my tv after Ubuntu is
booted my laptop monitor turns off but the tv doesn't get turned on so I
have no monitor at all. If I plug in the tv before turning on the
computer then Ubuntu boots fine (tv on, laptop monitor off).

xrandr produces this when I try to manually set up output after plugging in tv
xrandr: cannot find crtc for output LVDS1

LVDS1 is my laptop monitor.

Thanks in advance

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 779750] [NEW] Multiple Monitor Causes Partial Freeze

2011-05-09 Thread Jmadero
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

When I plug in my external monitor after boot and then go to Preferences
- Monitors my system has a partial freeze, everything becomes laggy,
mouse is unresponsive, can't go back into monitors to change the
configuration. Problem also occurs when I use xrandr command in
terminal. If I reboot with the external monitor plugged in the setup
works fine, but then if I go into monitors and change anything (ie.
primary monitor or resolution), the problems occur again.

2010-11-11 Thread Jmadero
More information, when I unplug the the keyboard I regain left button.
This is not the same as 636311 as I don't use any of the media buttons
or special keys. Simply starting a video (no matter what kind of video,
from flash to mkv through VLC to .vob through totem) makes left click
unusable as long as my keyboard is plugged in

I'm having same problem. Flash completely kills my left button, also
watching videos with VLC. Not sure if it's specific to my
keyboard/mouse. Going to see if problem persists when USB keyboard/mouse
not plugged in -- this seems like a high priority problem as it makes
the OS almost unusable

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 649428] [NEW] XBMC Crashes Because of Intel Bug (HDMI)

2010-09-27 Thread Jmadero
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

I am having a bug where when I fullscreen xbmc on my LED TV through HDMI
cable it crashes. I've talked to the developers with XBMC and they are
telling me that it's a bug with the intel driver. Let me know what else
I can provide and I'll do so. XBMC works fine when not fullscreened
(when it's restored or maximized but still showing the window
decorations, ie. not fullscreened). Thanks for the hard work

2010-03-30 Thread Jmadero
This is crazynetbooks are the fastest growing computer type and it's
just going to be ignored by the Ubuntu developers? Seems like a poor
decision

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 425514] [NEW] Media Key Not Detected

2009-09-06 Thread Jmadero
Public bug reported:

Laptop: Dell Studio 1737

Ubuntu 9.04

On this laptop there are media keys on top that include volume,
play/stop, media player, and eject. All buttons are functional except
for the eject button. I have tried to manually set it to eject a cd (or
do anything) by going to system - preferences - keyboard shortcuts and
when I try to grab the key it doesn't detect anything. This also
happens with xbindkeys. As of now I have to go into my home folder and
right click the disc to eject it. Thank you

** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-keyboard (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
