[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 378033] Re: [P4M900] X.org detects bad resolution (720x400 instead of 1680x1050)

2010-06-02 Thread Jonathan Ernst
Hello,

I had a chance to access this computer again after the recent upgrade to
Lucid.

Here are the results :

- No Xorg.conf : resolution is wrong (720x400 instead of 1680x1050) (see
xorg.0.log.out-of-the-box.txt)
- Xorg.conf with vesa driver : resolution is correct (see xorg.0.log-vesa.txt)
- Xorg.conf with openchrome and Virtual 1680 1050 : resolution is correct
(see xorg.0.log-virtual.txt)

Hope it helps (I'm sorry but I can't compile drivers on this computer as
it's not mine and have limited access to it).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 280625] Re: Applications use the PC speaker beep for alerts altough a sound file is set up in sound settings

2009-10-26 Thread Jonathan Ernst
In Karmic, the options have changed a little bit. I have an alert sound
set in sound preferences. Firefox, Transmission and Terminal no longer
use de PC speaker, but now the don't beep at all...

I guess this bug should be marked fixed and another bug opened for the
new behaviour?

I attach the requested informations altough I don't think they are
relevant.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 411295] [NEW] External screen resolution is not detected correctly

2009-08-10 Thread Jonathan Ernst
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

The problem occurs with an HP w25558hc 26´´ LCD monitor hooked up on the
VGA port of an HP Mini with Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME,
943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller on Jaunty.

The maximum resolution (when using only the external screen) detected by
xrandr and the display configuration tool is

1280x1024

Instead of the correct maximum resolution of

1920x1200

The maximum resolution is correctly shown in Xorg.0.log AND ddcprobe AND
xresprobe, but not with xrandr and thus cannot be used...
