[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1080233] Re: Apport thinks 12.04.01 isnt LTS
** Description changed: Apport thinks 12.04.01 isnt LTS + Then why is needed such info that it isnt in development? I didnt asked if its under development it told me that by itself. Support means it still will be developed better with bug fixes and that called support. Why then is needed to say it isnt in development? No one cares about that. Small percentage only trys it while before release so its irrelevant for users such information. It confuses and makes think i got failed version witch thinks it isnt LTS. ** Changed in: xdiagnose (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New ** Summary changed: - Apport thinks 12.04.01 isnt LTS + Apport gives useless information 12.04.01 about not beeing in development -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xdiagnose in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1080233 Title: Apport gives useless information 12.04.01 about not beeing in development To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdiagnose/+bug/1080233/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 889586] [NEW] Emachines e525 cant see if turned comp, cant change brightness
Public bug reported: This is since 11.04 and now im reporting it from 11.10 This bug doesnt exist in 10.04 but about 10.10 i dont know. 1. if i turn comp on- all is black so i cant see anything- it reacts if i make volume up/down so i know its turned on also cant change brightness 2. i was able to manage when changing brightness once up and once down right before grub starts loading then all is seenable but still cant change brightess so its max all the time. If i press brightness shortcut fn+brightnessDown/Up indicator shows up in screen but brightess doesnt changes. One interesting thing if i fn+brightnessUp then i get symbol ± so 10 times making brightness up would give me in text editor ±± even thought its already to max and indicator also shows its max. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 682846] Re: Dell D610 video problems with another monitor
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg On clean ubuntu 10.10 latest updates Dell D610 tryd connecting old big monitor it didnt work- it froze whole computer. (becouse i wanted to run performance test and one of questions were about conecting another monitor) Now i conected to LCD and it auto made continuing display corectly. Then i made it to mirror and now i wanted to put again to continue monitor but it now showing these hieroglifs.. See 2 pics- changing side makes right side with hieroglifs. When i move something away from there it forgets to refresh thouse pixels. Also Monitor preferences shows wrong external monitor- its LG Flatron L197WH and also now Ctrl+alt+t to open terminal stopped working.. Maybe related? Myabe couse of Desktop effects simple compiz config programm.. since it installed had problems with shortcuts. Update: Comp little slower maybe becouse of External monitor so i disabled Desktop Effects and no hieroglifs showing up.. Enabling again makes them in the same position. Update2: Also changed resolution and YT flash i had open before doing that had strange Fullscreen size.. So YT flash makes some constant size for Fulscreen on load. That didnt apply to TED video witch was also open before resolution change.. Maybe related to only YT flash bad code.
