unfortunately I'm not capable of doing that.

I'm currently running the 3.14.2 kernel and the bug persists.
I believe that it comes from the nvidia driver. Whenever the
screen freezes and I have to log back in, I see the following
message in the Xorg logs:
= NVIDIA(0): Setting mode NULL

I hope this helps in some way. The freezes appear relatively
often, that is up to once every few minutes.

I've reviewed the log and think it is possible that my bug is
related to
= https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-prime/+bug/1220426

The touchpad appears to be found each time again and again
exactly when the crash occurs.
