[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1890815] Re: vainfo requires a nvidia sofile not in repositories
What about NVENC/NVDEC? New standard created to replace VDPAU? This project implements a VA-API driver for this technology: https://github.com/elFarto/nvidia-vaapi-driver I think it would be a nice idea to package it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to vdpau-video in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1890815 Title: vainfo requires a nvidia sofile not in repositories To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libva-utils/+bug/1890815/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1441951] Re: Enable DRI3
Should we reconsider this? Three reasons for that: - Since Vivid (hwen reported bugs occur) the driver code evolved a lot; - Probably would be good for the migration to a GNOME desktop environment; - Vulkan driver is becoming more present each day and it needs the DRI3. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1441951 Title: Enable DRI3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1441951/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1512872] Re: Avoid binaries with suid bit

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1512872] [NEW] Avoid binaries with suid bit
Public bug reported: I saw this news (http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px =Debian-Non-Root-X) which say Debian finally can run with X.org without setuid binaries enabled. Is possible to do the same with Ubuntu for the next release? ** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1512872 Title: Avoid binaries with suid bit To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1512872/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
