[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 711409] Re: [MASTER] -nvidia broken after Jan 31st updates, because it does not yet support xserver 1.10

2011-02-28 Thread Mathieu Comandon
@ubuntu-x-swat : please don't push Xserver 1.10RC3 into natty before nvidia
ships an updated driver.
Using the xorg edgers PPA seems amore appropriate solution when it is known
beforehand that some code will break for a lot of users.

I'll test the driver upgrade this evening and confirm it works.
If it does, can we expect an official fix for alpha-3 instead of beta-1 ?

2011-02-15 Thread Mathieu Comandon
I tried the 270.26 drivers and there were no improvement, I still got the ABI
error.
Since this version isn't even displayed on their beta driver page, maybe we can
expect another release in the next few days that would fix this issue.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 513011] [NEW] Wrong refresh rates on low resolutions with HP NX 7000 on Lucid

2010-01-26 Thread Mathieu Comandon
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

The laptop chipset is a ATI RV250 [Mobility FireGL 9000] , everything is
ok at native resolution (1280x800) but when I try to switch to a lower
one, I get a black screen. The only one to work is 1024x768.

Here's the output of xrandr -q
stri...@coosbay:~$ xrandr -q

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 800, maximum 4096 x 4096
VGA-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
LVDS connected 1280x800+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 0mm x 0mm

   1280x720 59.9
   1152x768 59.8
   1024x768 60.0 59.9
   800x60060.3 59.9
   848x48059.7
   720x48059.7
   640x48059.9 59.4
S-video disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

1360x768 isn't supposed to be here, 1152x768 and 848x480 seems weird
too.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 410267] Re: Pressure sensitive tablet: stylus paints off-cursor in Gimp and Inkscape

2009-09-22 Thread Mathieu Comandon
This bug has no reason to be fixed yet. Carlos Garnacho has released 3
patches yesterday for libgtk, and these patches have not yet been
applied on Karmic's libgtk.

I will try them out today and also I will try to repackage the patched
libgtk and upload it on my PPA if it fixes the bug.

Ok, i've applied the patch and Gimp, Inkscape and MyPaint are behaving
perfectly with my Wacom tablet.
I've uploaded the fixed libgtk to my PPA :

binaries, you're good to go.

2009-09-02 Thread Mathieu Comandon
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 410267 ***

The offset is the size of the menus and rulers in each drawing program.
Switch to full screen in MyPaint or remove menus and rulers in Gimp and there
is no offset anymore

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 410267] Re: Pressure sensitive tablet: stylus paints off-cursor in Gimp and Inkscape

2009-09-01 Thread Mathieu Comandon
I confirm this bug is related to window borders. This bug also occurs in
MyPaint with one exception : When in fullscreen mode (by pressing F11) ,
the screen is just one big drawing area and the tablet works as
expected.

I wish I had a clue for what to do to analyse the problem further. I
could inspect the diffs between Jaunty and Karmic but the origin of the
problem still isn't clear. It might also be the window decorator's fault
(but I doubt it)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 419585] Re: Karmic Wacom Driver

2009-08-28 Thread Mathieu Comandon
Does the same thing on a Wacom Volito 2 (and it also affects Inkscape).
I haven't made any modification to the Xorg default configuration

** Changed in: wacom-tools (Ubuntu)
   Status: Incomplete = Confirmed
