I had reverted to a btrfs snapshot once I saw KWin crash, so this morning I added the PPA and did an aptitude full-upgrade. This updated my kernel to 3.13.0-22 (as well as ~500MB of other stuff) and I am very happy to say that KWin is working perfectly. Hmm, I guess the answer to (all?) Intel video hardware is no. I get perfectly consistent KWin crashes on a machine with a Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c), even after add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers; aptitude update; aptitude full-upgrade; reboot.
