Well actually I didn't reply because I have kept my working 256 driver which works correctly and I've never tried with the package version to avoid wasting an hour with driver installation. The problem must be definitely with nvidia driver 260, because I uninstalled it and manually installed 256. Well not exactly Dana. Here we're talking about MT support on Synaptics v7.2 which actually has native multitouch support, but it is not recognized by xorg driver. I confirm the bug on a Sony VPCCW2C5E with Synaptics touchpad V7.2. Windows driver reports up to three fingers with Shift+Alt+i. Under Lucid, synclient -m only one finger. I confirm the bug with Lucid final release. XServer runs on the VGA output (so the OS is visible only if a monitor is plugged in). I had to use the EDID extracted from windows to have the laptop LCD recognized.
