I tested latest images and 1) 10.04.1 still has his bug without any changes. 2) 10.10 Alpha 3 just hang on kernel startup... no stanby screen like in lucid. I have a similar problem with proprietary nvidia dirver(195.36.24 from repository), but system hand on Xorg startup. I began think that this is hardware problem, but one guy told me to update the driver to 265, and it works. Also, he said that the problem may be caused by incorrect loading firmware.
