[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1187427] Re: Mouse cursor invisible

2013-08-07 Thread Patrik Jakobsson
Hi Jens, sorry for the late reply.

The native resolution seems to be 1600x768@30 Hz which you probably
don't get from the VESA driver. Can you try setting a different
resolution in your xorg.conf? This shouldn't be related to the cursor
problems you're having.

Hardware cursor is the default so no special options are needed for
that.

Is it a sony vaio p you're working with?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1187427] Re: Mouse cursor invisible

2013-07-09 Thread Patrik Jakobsson
Hi Jens
That sounds very strange. Could you please try the modesetting driver instead
of vesa or fbdev. It has hardware cursor support (the others don't). Also make
sure you're using the gma500_gfx kernel module.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1169147] Re: External monitor connected to Cedarview drivers- required virtual size does not fit available size

2013-06-11 Thread Patrik Jakobsson
The fix has been picked up for the next stable 3.4 and 3.9 release. No
word from the Ubuntu kernel team yet but hopefully they'll pick it up
for 3.8 as well.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1169147] Re: External monitor connected to Cedarview drivers- required virtual size does not fit available size

2013-06-08 Thread Patrik Jakobsson
I've fixed this issue in:
commit cbbd379aa43890f36da934f5af619d2fb8ec3d87
Author: Patrik Jakobsson patrik.r.jakobs...@gmail.com
Date: Thu Apr 25 22:23:36 2013 +0200
drm/gma500: Increase max resolution for mode setting

It went in with 3.9-rc1, but I'll send it to the stable lists and
hopefully they will pick it up.
