[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2012629] [NEW] Mouse interaction in 3d game does not work
Public bug reported: Specifically in a game called Crusader Kings III in the Royal Court module which is a 3d model scene, the mouse functionality that pops up tooltips and opens further windows by mouse clicking the character models does not work. It has been working up until around a month, possibly 2 months, ago but suddenly stopped working. The reason I believe it is related to libopengl is because 1) The game offers both Vulkan and OpenGL renderers, and the broken mouse interaction functionality works with the Vulkan renderer. 2) Today I had to use a old Ubuntu 22.04 installation which obviously has an older libopengl, so I tried the game there, and the mouse interaction functionality is working properly. 3) The game itself has not been updated since 1-12-2022 and the game was definitely working properly through January 2023 and most if not all February 2023. Obviously there are other older libraries on Ubuntu 20.04 but given the problem is with the game's OpenGL renderer it seems plausible that the issue is in fact with libopengl. I have not noticed any other odd behaviour wrt to libopengl on my system. === Other requested information === lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 22.10 Release:22.10 apt-cache policy libopengl0 libopengl0: Installed: 1.5.0-1 Candidate: 1.5.0-1 Version table: *** 1.5.0-1 500 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu kinetic/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status What I expect to happen. When I pass the mouse over a 3d model I expect them to be highlighted, and when I hover over a 3d model in the game I expect tooltips to be displayed, and when I click on the characters with the mouse I expect other windows to be opened. What happened instead. Nothing. The models are not highlighted as I pass over them. The tooltips are not displayed as I hover over a model, and there is no response to attempts to mouse click the models. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1055700] [NEW] Quantal doesn't always resume from suspend
Public bug reported: Screen remains black after resume. Hiting the enter shows the mouse in processing state, indicating that the login menu from lock screen is present (if one writes the pass it appears to login - all this with the black screen). Only way of recovering is from a tty kill Xorg. Kill compiz eventually shows the windows opened before suspend but the desktop is frozen. compiz --replace also doesn't work. It happens quite often. I have the Bug #10 and I'm trying the -27 proposed kernel. So far so good. i7 3612QM (ivy bridge) Nvidia GT630M / intel HD4000 (optimus enabled by Bumblebee 3.0) @387 Stephane, after enabling the proposed updates, you should do: sudo apt-get install linux-generic/precise-proposed linux-headers-generic/precise-proposed and not the all upgradable packages! [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 924747] Re: Pointer keeps on moving while the finger rests on touchpad
bryce, it is recent. When I upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04 alpha1 this was OK. Some bugs still persisted from the 11.10 to the 12.04 as the dragging (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input- synaptics/+bug/859474) and the three finger (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input- synaptics/+bug/873482).
