i looked shortly into it. It seems that it is a memory allocation in the intel video driver. Checked the jaunty on the karmic. It has some big issues with the new XINPUT... Hard to debug for me now, but I will spend some times in the future trying to figure out what goes wrong. Ok, I had to remove the xserver-xorg-input-evtouch to make it work better...
