[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1902361] [NEW] Delete key inputs Unicode Delete character (007F) instead of deleting the next character
Public bug reported: When pressed, the delete key inputs the Unicode 007F character instead of deleting the following character. In most cases, this is difficult to see, but in a terminal, the 007F is clearly visible. The xev output for the key press is following: KeyPress event, serial 36, synthetic NO, window 0x421, root 0x5df, subw 0x0, time 81101326, (1403,948), root:(1453,1062), state 0x0, keycode 119 (keysym 0x, Delete), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (7f) "" XmbLookupString gives 1 bytes: (7f) "" XFilterEvent returns: False KeyRelease event, serial 36, synthetic NO, window 0x421, root 0x5df, subw 0x0, time 81101443, (1403,948), root:(1453,1062), state 0x0, keycode 119 (keysym 0x, Delete), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (7f) "" XFilterEvent returns: False This is a new fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04, I don't remember the delete key working at any point since the installation. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1307165] Re: Unable to Handle Kernel Paging Request at
Just restarted the system and got this error without a crash Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at (null) and it was caused by palse audio as you can see on the screen shot. The last couple of times it crashed when I playing a song in a flash player online. It happened pretty quickly - during the first 2 songs, so I am suspicious it is to do with audio this time, not video driver. ** Attachment added: SCREEN SHOT: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at (null) https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/1307165/+attachment/4084101/+files/kernel%20null%20pointer%20error%202014-04-15%2011%3A00%3A01.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1307165 Title: Unable to Handle Kernel Paging Request at To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/1307165/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1184451] Re: Ubuntu 13.10 random screen freeze while Normal OS activites
My laptop has 32 GB RAM. It froze and when I decided to switch it off and held the power button for 1 sec, it magically unforze. htop was opened at the time and showed that chrome consumed all of 32 GB of memory. When I killed it, the memory came down to 400 Mb. I think this is a Chrome bug. I am using Firefox for now and will see whether it happens again or not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1184451 Title: Ubuntu 13.10 random screen freeze while Normal OS activites To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1184451/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
