[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1275416] Re: touchscreen do not work after suspend/resume
I'm using a Thinkpad X200T with Manjaro and observe the problem described here. It doesn't necessarily happen after the first suspend/resume cycle but after some of them. The solution proposed in #19 didn't work for me though. I got two devices displayed corresponding to ttyS0 and ttyS1. Running inputattach for ttyS0 didn't have any effect, running it for ttyS1 lead to a system freeze such that I had to hard reset the machine. I will try again when the problem reappears and report back. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xinput in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1275416 Title: touchscreen do not work after suspend/resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xinput/+bug/1275416/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1310038] [NEW] Screen switches off some seconds after wake up from suspend
Public bug reported: I was running Xubuntu 12.04 on a Thinkpad X40 which has an Intel 855GM graphics chip. On 12.04 suspend worked flawlessly. Yesterday I upgraded to 14.04 and this broke suspend. The problem is like this: I close the lid, the laptop goes to sleep. After some time I open the lid, the screen goes on and if I'm fast I can even start typing in the password. However, some seconds later the screen switches off again, though I can hear that the system continues working. I can still switch to any TTY, only X has no graphical output. If I kill X from TTY, it starts again, I can login and then the system works as expected. In /var/log/Xorg.0.log I see following lines: (II) AIGLX: Suspending AIGLX clients for VT switch (II) AIGLX: Resuming AIGLX clients after VT switch (II) AIGLX: Suspending AIGLX clients for VT switch which exactly fits to my observations: On lid close the screen goes off, on opening the lid it goes on and then after some seconds off again. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 590057] Re: gnome does not start after an update
I'm experiencing a similar bug: After the update of the 12. December X failed to start, I got a black screen and the keyboard didn't respond. I removed the xorg.conf file (thus changing from the fglrx to the radeon driver) and this resulted in following behavior: still a black screen but with a movable cursor and a working keyboard (however it freezes completely after some time). Creating a clean user didn't change anything. But logging in via a rescue Gnome session worked. I compared the .xsession-errors files from a normal Gnome session and a rescue Gnome session and found the same lines as the original reporter. I attach both .xsession-errors files and the dpkg log of the last updates before the problem appeared. ** Attachment added: .xsession-errors_freeze https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/590057/+attachment/1794913/+files/.xsession-errors_freeze -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/590057 Title: gnome does not start after an update ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
