[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 962892] Re: Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in __assert_fail_base()
Happens regularly when I boot, compiz relaunches automatically and this error always goes with an error about an apt crash. Everything seems to be working fine after. The black screen happened here also regularly but haven't seen that one for a little while now. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 744909] [NEW] NVIDIA X server settings crashes while changing resolution
Public bug reported: I'll changed from 1920x1080 to 900x600. I cancel and found (after 'cleaning' the black with a window) Server settings not running anymore. When I redid the same procedure I again got a crash, now with this message: Your current changes to the X server display configuration may no longer be applied due to changes made to the running X server. You may either reload the current X server settings and lose any configuration setup in this page, or select "Cancel" and save your changes to the X configuration file (requires restarting X to take effect.) If you select "Cancel", you will only be allowed to apply settings once you have reset the configuration. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 744901] Re: xrandr shows wrong refresh rate
Discard my remark about correct xrandr values, I apparently put my glasses upside down. Xrandr gives: 1920x1080 50.0 51.0 52.0* 156.0 at startup it's at 50Hz but switching with nvidia settings every time switches between 52 and 156Hz. Using set auto in between I can set 60Hz while xrandr gives 52Hz, set 60Hz while xrandr gives 156Hz, set 50Hz get 52Hz or set 50Hz get 156Hz. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/744901 Title: xrandr shows wrong refresh rate ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 744901] Re: xrandr shows wrong refresh rate
If I switch with NVIDA X server settings I can put it to 60Hz and xrandr will display the correct refresh rate. Switching back to 50Hz also gives correct xrandr values. So probably the init is done on 50Hz instead of 60Hz. I did notice the resolution/refresh rates in the xrandr list going from high to low but the highest resolution/refreshrate is completely at the bottom.
