my kernel is 2.6.31-14-generic. in post #74, I went to tty console and typed sudo stop gdm and afterwards sudo pm-suspend. It worked for one time. I don´t know if it always works. when I type export PM_DEBUG=true and then sudo pm-suspend, the lappie is waking up. echo 1 /sys/power/pm_trace and then sudo pm-suspend, it works too. But only sudo pm-suspend or typing the button, it doesn´t resume. I didn´t change files in pm-utils. And I don´t know, why /usr/lib/pm- utils/sleep.d/99video is disabled. When I only type sudo pm-suspend in gnome-terminal, my machine doesn´t wake up. It is frozen and does not respond for any key. I didn´t try in a tty console, but I tried with init 1, the same as recovery mode. The machine didn´t wake up. But when I am on gnome Desktop and type in gnome-terminal first export PM_DEBUG=true and afterwards sudo pm-suspend, the machine wakes up afterwards. I went to tty console and sudo stop gdm. Then rmmod radeon ttm and drm. Afterward pm-suspend. I made only stop gdm, and it was waking up. I have Radeon Xpress 200M, an Acer Aspire 5100 and the same problem. It goes to suspend mode, but it doesn´t resume. Karmic beta 2.6.31-14-generic now. I must shut down in the hard way. Today, after the hard reboot today, /etc/mtab was corrupted. My lappie didn´t boot again because of problems with mounting. I looked with live-CD. /etc/mtab was empty. I have this problem too and have reported in Bug 430851 for Blender. Now I found this bug. My graphic card is [Radeon Xpress 200. I can't select objects in blender. My system is jaunty 9.04. I use radeon driver. When I start blender with console and try to select, there comes this warning message. -- [RS482] does not work properly in 3D.
