[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2046189] Re: Xorg freezes on external displays when in Gnome Shell on Nvidia graphics
I didn't note it here, but this issue does not occur on the Wayland session. That's a different kettle of fish (Gnome crashes if add or remove an external monitor, and when waking from sleep (but this also seems related to if displays are connected)). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2046189 Title: Xorg freezes on external displays when in Gnome Shell on Nvidia graphics To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/2046189/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1091058] [NEW] GPU locks up and the screen turns white - it is impossible then to recovery (have to cold reboot!!!)
Public bug reported: At random, if I'm using ANY 3D program or game (except, strangely, window managers, including compiz, gala, mutter, etc)... the GPU will lockup, the screen redraws with a bunch of lines at the bottom, and then it begins to turn white. I wish I could give more information but each time it happens the system locks up completely and I have to force it to restart (which is NOT good). This problem was happening on Ubuntu 12.10 and persists into 13.04. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1091058 Title: GPU locks up and the screen turns white - it is impossible then to recovery (have to cold reboot!!!)
