[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 575255] Re: unable to access tty using ctrl-alt-F1 lucid

2010-05-23 Thread Ryan Daly
I'm seeing this issue, but not everywhere.

I have a Dell Latitude D800 with a nVidia GeForce FX Go5650 that works properly.
I have a Dell Precision M65 with a nVidia Quadro FX 350M that does not work.
All I get is a flashing cursor.

Does this have anything to do with the graphics a particular system is
or isn't running?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 499484] Re: Xorg crashing at (seeminly) ramdon

2010-01-08 Thread Ryan Daly
I've been working with some folks via the Xorg mailing list. Through
that I have recompiled the latest evdev_drv.so module. I still had Xorg
exit on me, but this time I received a different backtrace. I've
attached the output.

2010-01-04 Thread Ryan Daly
These stack traces (of which I have another) all appear to be similar.
I would think this would make it easy to diagnose and to determine what
may be causing X to terminate. Can someone please look at this?

Yet another trace after a crash.

This time the OS is x86_64 as I reloaded from scratch to rule out a
problem during the 'do-release-upgrade' process.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 367567] Re: segv in xserver with xserver-xorg-video-radeon

2009-09-17 Thread Ryan Daly
This same thing has happened to me more than once. I was just trying to
open OpenOffice and my X session stopped. I was left with a login
screen. As you can imagine, this is very annoying.

When I logged back in, I was left with the following in /var/log/syslog:
