[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 381493] Re: i945 (dell d430) karmic randomly stops updating display and responding to keyboard/mouse
Okay, so the freezes are definitely related to suspend mode. If I don't suspend my laptop, it never freezes, but I am almost guaranteed a freeze sometime after resuming from suspend. Unfortunately, the freezes still happen with the 2.9.1 Intel drivers. -- i945 (dell d430) karmic randomly stops updating display and responding to keyboard/mouse https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/381493 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-evdev in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 451382] [NEW] desktop effects occasionally extremely slow
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel ** Bug Description ** About one out of every three times I boot into Ubuntu, the desktop effects are extremely slow/choppy, so much so that dragging an open Nautilus window around the screen looks like a slide show. Checking the system monitor, nothing seems to be hogging the CPU or RAM, so the cause of the slowdown is not apparent to me. Logging off and back on always returns things to normal (so far). ** My System ** PC: HP Pavilion dv1000 CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.60GHz RAM: 1GB DDR400 Video: Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller Sound: 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) AC'97 Audio Controller OS: Ubuntu 9.10 beta 1 w/ all updates as of 10/14/09 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Oct 14 10:37:56 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Lsusb: Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub MachineType: Hewlett-Packard HP Pavilion dv1000 (EP347UA#ABA) Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2 PccardctlIdent: Socket 0: no product info available PccardctlStatus: Socket 0: no card ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-14-generic root=UUID=d6897f0b-3cbd-4c21-9d3a-e265c01c7244 ro quiet splash ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.46-generic RelatedPackageVersions: xserver-xorg 1:7.4+3ubuntu5 libgl1-mesa-glx 7.6.0-1ubuntu4 libdrm2 2.4.14-1ubuntu1 xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2 xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.12.99+git20090929.7968e1fb-0ubuntu1 SourcePackage: xserver-xorg-video-intel Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686 XorgConf: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/X11/xorg.conf' XsessionErrors: (gnome-settings-daemon:2342): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (gnome-settings-daemon:2342): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (nautilus:2432): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1:2454): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed (gnome-panel:2431): Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width -1 and height 24 dmi.bios.date: 12/22/2005 dmi.bios.vendor: Hewlett-Packard dmi.bios.version: F.21 dmi.board.name: 308F dmi.board.vendor: Quanta dmi.board.version: 46.13 dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: Quanta dmi.chassis.version: N/A dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnHewlett-Packard:bvrF.21:bd12/22/2005:svnHewlett-Packard:pnHPPaviliondv1000(EP347UA#ABA):pvrRev1:rvnQuanta:rn308F:rvr46.13:cvnQuanta:ct10:cvrN/A: dmi.product.name: HP Pavilion dv1000 (EP347UA#ABA) dmi.product.version: Rev 1 dmi.sys.vendor: Hewlett-Packard fglrx: Not loaded system: distro: Ubuntu architecture: i686kernel: 2.6.31-14-generic ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- desktop effects occasionally extremely slow https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/451382 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
