[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1500080] [NEW] Dell XPS 2013 - [drm:intel_pipe_config_compare [i915]] *ERROR* mismatch in ips_enabled

2015-09-26 Thread Sean Clarke
Public bug reported:

Since upgrading to latest kernel (4.2.0-11-generic) multi screen setup
no longer works. It does seem intermittant, but in 9/10 cases it will
not drive triple monitor setup, however with some unplugging and
replugging of the DP one screen "may" appear which mirrors the local
display, I can then add the other monitors.

If the laptop screen blanking kicks in it never recovers.

The syslog for the incident is as follows:

Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 542660] Re: New Apple iMac (Core i5) fails to display anything

2010-10-19 Thread Sean Clarke
Also noticed similiar problem on Foxconn Nettop D510 - system has a
phantom screen, i.e. look at monitor settings and it shows the real
monitor as Monitor 2 and Monitor 1 (aka the primary) is
nonexistent but appears.

On boot up the screen is blank as it is driving the phantom monitor.

Robbie, I just downloaded and attempted an install of 10.10 final on a
27 iMac (core i5). I still get the 'black screen' issue. Can you add
more information on what the released fix is?

I too have just upgraded and lost my screen etc.

If you come across a solution or workaround, please let me know.

Many thanks

Milestone = none? Does this mean the fix is not scheduled for the final
release?

Is this expected to make it into 10.04 beta2? if not, is it expected to
be included in the final release?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 542660] [NEW] New Apple iMac (Core i5) fails to boot

2010-03-20 Thread Sean Clarke
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

Lucid beta 1 fails to boot on my Apple iMac 27 (Core i5 model).

I am happily running Karmic (had to download backport Alsa to get sound
working), but Lucid beta 1 fails to boot. You initially see the new
purple Ubuntu loader, then it goes black - CD continues to whirl and
after it sounds like it is loading in the background it resets and
restarts.

Suspect problem with video - I can get it to boot if I select option F6
and selectnomodes (I think thats what it was called) - it boots fine
(I am running it now).

Question: Would this stop me upgrading from Karmic?

If you need any more info, please email.
