[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1338521] [NEW] [xorg-edgers] nvidia-settings-340.17 missing registry key file
Public bug reported: Running nvidia-settings currently gives the following error: ERROR: nvidia-settings could not find the registry key file. This file should have been installed along with this driver at either /usr/share/nvidia/nvidia-application-profiles-340.17-key-documentation or /usr/share/nvidia/nvidia-application-profiles-key-documentation. The application profiles will continue to work, but values cannot be preopulated or validated, and will not be listed in the help text. Please see the README for possible values and descriptions. Seems like the file is missing in the package. --- ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.2 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationDate: Installed on 2010-09-14 (1391 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 10.04.1 LTS Lucid Lynx - Release amd64 (20100816.2) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: nvidia-settings 340.17-0ubuntu1~xedgers14.04.1 [origin: LP-PPA-xorg-edgers] PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-31.55-generic 3.13.11.4 Tags: third-party-packages trusty Uname: Linux 3.13.0-31-generic x86_64 UnreportableReason: This is not an official Ubuntu package. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 996821] Re: vmmouse 12.8 behaves erratically in when running as a VMware guest
Fixes the problem for me as well. This was driving me nuts as clicking on buttons sometimes didn't work because it was interpreted as a mouse drag event. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/996821 Title: vmmouse 12.8 behaves erratically in when running as a VMware guest To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse/+bug/996821/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
