The Upgrade of 12.04 to 14.04 resulted in showing a garbled Screen (probably Textmode with old Ram-Contents). Without Loginprompt the System was no longer usable. Start of Live-DVDs (Ubuntu + Kubuntu. 14.04 32bit): Same Effect: garbled screen I've no problems to use some propr. Drivers - but before that the system should at least work, so that it might get installed from there.. Thus I had to switch to the actual MINT: there were no problems.
