[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1157678] Re: unplugging an external monitor from laptop results in corrupted screen. Logging out fixes it.

2013-03-27 Thread Tom Haddon
Fwiw, I seem to be able to work around this by locking my screen first,
and then unplugging it. Need to unlock afterwards, obviously, but
thought it might save people a few mins of resetting things...

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 352136] Re: [i965gm] Display configuration not kept after closing laptop lid

2009-08-26 Thread Tom Haddon
Unfortunately I no longer have the monitor in question - I'm in the
process of moving and had to get rid of it.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 272669] Re: [i965] 965GM gives a wrong screen resolution on laptop used with an external display

2009-06-30 Thread Tom Haddon
I can confirm karmic i386 alpha 2 works correctly with a Samsung 225BW.
I detects the external resolution of the monitor correctly and allows me
to switch to it whether I have that monitor plugged in when X starts or
not.
