Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-wacom
I previously installed Kubuntu 9.04 64-bit on a Fujitsu T4215 Tablet PC.
This has a wacom serial tablet built in.
I expected (or perhaps hoped) that the stylus pen/eraser would work out
of the box. No such luck however.
After a while, I noticed that the eraser end of the pen is recognised,
and acts as a stylus, as well as the eraser button working to transmit
clicks. However, the pen end is still non-functional, as are the two
buttons near the pen tip.
I made some posts here, and Favux has been very helpful in trying to
help me through the issue, but the recommended I file something through
launchpad

I've also now updated to Kubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala), with the same
behaviour (eraser end working only). Also, it also seems to sometimes
work and sometimes not, although I can't pin this down/reproduce it
accurately, so I'm not going to say too much on this.
I've attached the latest output from xinput --list, lshal and my
xorg.0.log file. The command xsetwacom list returns nothing.
