[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 542660] Re: New Apple iMac (Core i5) fails to display anything

2010-12-19 Thread Vistaus
I can confirm this issue.
Tried with Natty daily build. Black screen after choosing to try Ubuntu.
Installation with the alternate CD works, but still a black screen after
booting the first time.
I've tried with the following CD's:
-Kubuntu Natty Daily Desktop AMD64
-Kubuntu Natty Daily Desktop AMD64 Mac (not the PPC, but the Mac-specific one
linked to on the Daily-page)
-Natty Mini CD and then manually sudo apt-get install kubuntu desktop after
mini-installation
-Kubuntu Natty Daily Alternate AMD64 Mac (again, not the PPC, but the
Mac-specific one linked to on the Daily-page)

All the black screen problem.
I will try to hook up and second LCD to see if that works and then I'll post
the content of what you asked. Do you need the output and contents of that
after booting the Live CD or after installing and booting for the first time?
Hopefully this bug can be fixed soon.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 494699] Re: Does not support current Lucid kernel (2.6.32) or xserver (1.7)

2010-05-14 Thread Vistaus
On Kubuntu 10.04 the driver doesn't work 100%
I can't choose what desktop effects I want because it says that my video card
is not capable. However, in 9.10 it worked and my video card is more than
capable.

ATI Mobility Radeon 4550HD with 512 MB in a seperate GDDR3 cache.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 460658] Re: ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala shows green dots and lines with indication of wrong frequency on monitor

2009-11-15 Thread Vistaus
I can confirm this bug on my Sony Vaio VGN-NW21MF, altough it has an ATI
videocard in it. It used to work fine until I upgraded to the -15 kernel
via proposed today. Now I also get the low-graphics mode error.
