[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 542660] Re: New Apple iMac (Core i5) fails to display anything
I can confirm this issue. Tried with Natty daily build. Black screen after choosing to try Ubuntu. Installation with the alternate CD works, but still a black screen after booting the first time. I've tried with the following CD's: -Kubuntu Natty Daily Desktop AMD64 -Kubuntu Natty Daily Desktop AMD64 Mac (not the PPC, but the Mac-specific one linked to on the Daily-page) -Natty Mini CD and then manually sudo apt-get install kubuntu desktop after mini-installation -Kubuntu Natty Daily Alternate AMD64 Mac (again, not the PPC, but the Mac-specific one linked to on the Daily-page) All the black screen problem. I will try to hook up and second LCD to see if that works and then I'll post the content of what you asked. Do you need the output and contents of that after booting the Live CD or after installing and booting for the first time? Hopefully this bug can be fixed soon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is the registrant for xserver-xorg-driver-ati. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542660 Title: New Apple iMac (Core i5) fails to display anything ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
