[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1915003] Re: Always update the initramfs when changing power profile

2021-02-08 Thread Yuan-Chen Cheng
IMHO, shall we have a kernel boot parameter so that the script in the
initrd check and decide what to load and/or parameter to added.

If that's too much work, maybe put that as a long-term goal.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1875339] Re: xorg does not use nvidia gpu on a I+N machine.

2020-04-28 Thread Yuan-Chen Cheng
quick check the log, there is:

Is nvidia kernel module available? no

However, what installed is linux-modules-nvidia-440-5.4.0-26-generic,
which install the nvidia.ko to
/lib/modules/5.4.0-26-generic/kernel/nvidia-440/nvidia.ko instead of the
directory that gpu-manager check, which is /lib/modules/%s/updates/dkms.

in libinput xorg driver.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1526633] Re: edge scrolling not working correctly on latitude e6410

2017-03-13 Thread Yuan-Chen Cheng
@seb, can you try to add Option "ScrollMethod" "edge" to the libinput
xorg driver, and check if edge scrolling work or not. like what I have
below. (you will also like Tapping on to enable two finger tap.)

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "libinput touchpad catchall"
MatchIsTouchpad "on"
MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
Driver "libinput"
Option "Tapping" "on"
Option "ScrollMethod" "edge"
EndSection
