[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 585765] Re: Ubuntu 10.04 random freezes
I seem to have a queer version of the random freezes case. My desktop freezes (except for being able to open a terminal through the keyboard shortcut) ONLY when I use keyboard shortcuts that I have assigned to control the volume and when rhythmbox is running. It freezes rhythmbox and firefox and many other windows (can't seem to find a pattern as to which here) and when I kill rhythmbox the freeze is gone. -- Ubuntu 10.04 random freezes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/585765 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 522328] Re: [Test xpr-008] Lucid upgrade broke when upgrading from manually installed nvidia proprietary drivers
You can update to the latest drivers from Ubuntu's repositories now; the latest version (195) was released in the nvidia-current and nvidia- modaliases packages that came out the day before. Bug 562565 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/562565) also seems to have been fixed but it has made the boot-up time longer than before and the boot screen is still in low resolution by default. -- [Test xpr-008] Lucid upgrade broke when upgrading from manually installed nvidia proprietary drivers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/522328 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 522328] Re: [Test xpr-008] Lucid upgrade broke when upgrading from manually installed nvidia proprietary drivers
See https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/562565 I can confirm this error for NVIDIA Drivers (manually installed) 190.53 and 195.36.24 (the latest). I have an NVIDIA GeForce 8600GM 512 MB. I have tried Paul's (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/562565/comments/10) and Ryan Waldroop's methods (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/562565/comments/11) and I can confirm that both have failed to fix the issue. NVIDIA Driver version 173.14.22 seems to work fine so far. -- [Test xpr-008] Lucid upgrade broke when upgrading from manually installed nvidia proprietary drivers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/522328 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
