[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 569271] Re: [RS780 KMS] no poweroff on halt with KMS enabled
I do not know about Precise Pangolin because I am still using Lucid with all patches. It no longer occurs in lucid. Upgrade to linux- image-2.6.32-43-generic is in process. If it occurs again, I will update. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569271 Title: [RS780 KMS] no poweroff on halt with KMS enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/569271/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 569271] Re: [RS780 KMS] no poweroff on halt with KMS enabled
I have 5 HP Touchsmart TX2 laptops. On all of them, when I do shutdown, the system appears to shutdown but does not actually turn off. This did not happen in Karmic. It started with 10.04 Lucid. I tried the upstart job in comment #3. Has no effect. Have to manually press and hold the power switch in order for each laptop to actually turn off. I have all updates applied. -- [RS780 KMS] no poweroff on halt with KMS enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569271 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 317094] Re: meta bug to collect lshal touchscreen info
Hi I just installed on Ubuntu 9.10 on a HP TouchSmart tx2 VH884PA touchscreen laptop (Japanese machine). I received the following error message: No evtouch capable device found, if you are sure you have an evtouch capable touchscreen, please mail the resulting file of the command "lshal > evtouch_hal.out" to the bug url https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/317094, so support for your device can be added. I am guessing that I am supposed to add the file to this bug thead using "Add attachment or patch"? Please let me know if this is correct or if I am supposed to email it to a launchpad.net email address.
