** Tags added: apport-collected focal reproducible single-occurrence

** Description changed:

ubuntu-bug mesa does not work, i don't see a package named mesa

On Ubuntu 20.04 with Mesa 20.0.0 the program atlun - Virtual Moon Atlas from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualmoon/
shows the characters reduced to small rectangles and the image of the moon is
empty.
On Ubuntu 20.04 with Mesa 19.2.8 atlun had no problems.
The problem happens with both sessions X11 and Wayland.
I also opened a problem to atlun https://www.ap-i.net/mantis/view.php?id=2291
and you may see the result of the malfunction on this page
but the problem seems due to mesa 20.

I have an intel CPU and Graphic unit
  corrado@corrado-x5-ff-0309:~$ inxi -Gxx

I asked a question for this problem:

so now I'm opening this problem
if you suggest me the package name to be used opening the problem with
ubuntu-bug i will open a new bug

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1867581] [NEW] Mesa 20.0.0 causes malfunction to Virtual Moon Atlas

2020-03-16 Thread corrado venturini
Public bug reported:

ubuntu-bug mesa does not work, i don't see a package named mesa

Graphics:
Device-1: Intel HD Graphics 630 vendor: ASRock driver: i915 v: kernel
bus ID: 00:02.0 chip ID: 8086:5912
  Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.7 driver: i915 compositor: gnome-shell
  resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz
OpenGL: renderer: Mesa Intel HD Graphics 630 (KBL GT2) v: 4.6 Mesa 20.0.0
  direct render: Yes
corrado@corrado-x5-ff-0309:~$

I asked a question for this problem:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/689328
so now I'm opening this problem
if you suggest me the package name to be used opening the problem with
ubuntu-bug i will open a new bug

** Affects: mesa (Ubuntu)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1851058] Re: Live session any mouse or keyboard command is ignored

2019-11-05 Thread corrado venturini
This seems the same problem of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1850969
no problem starting apps from the icons on the dock but immediate hang clicking
an icon on the desktop.
I still see the problem with the ISO: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Alpha
amd64 (20191105)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1851058] [NEW] Live session any mouse or keyboard command is ignored

2019-11-02 Thread corrado venturini
Public bug reported:

The problem happens in the live session. Ubiquity starts ok, The default
desktop is displayed, but any mouse or keyboard command is ignored. If instead
of "Try Ubuntu" I select "install Ubuntu" the install runs fine but the new
installed system has the problem described in bug #1850969.
Same problem with ISO Alpha amd64 (20191101), 20191102, 20191030 and 20191031
also on a different hardware (HP laptop) and also selecting 'graphic failsafe'
Now I'm working with Wayland session because X11 does not work.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1753776] [NEW] After login the screen pixelates for few seconds on GNOME on X

2018-03-06 Thread corrado venturini
Public bug reported:

Immediately after login (I enter the password and hit enter) the screen
"crumbles" for few seconds, then all becomes normal and the system works fine.
I have done apt update+upgrade many times, also with proposed enabled, I have
also installed a new ISO (now i'm using the Alpha dated 20180305) but the
problem remains. The problem happens with the x11 session but not with wayland.
Also problem does not show with different hardware.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1436378] Re: vivid desktop background dark gray

2015-03-29 Thread corrado venturini
the problem started about 2015-03-23 but ...
my ubuntu vivid was installed from a daily (alpha?) the 28-oct-14 and then
updated each 2 or 3 days ...

today I installed the last daily (26-mar-15) on a different partition
and the problem disappeared.

if needed for debug I still have the partition with the problem, but for
me the bug can be closed.

thanks
