Has anyone else noticed this? I'm using gnome, and although I didn't suffer from the 1-5s lag claimed, using twinview (with full desktop effects) is noticeably snappier than when I was using Xinerama. -- Damien -- Launching QT apps under Xinerama crashes Xorg : affects SpeedCrunch, KeePassX, Lucky Backup, Pencil, Stellarium, Skype, Google Earth, VLC, Konqueror, VirtualBox, Opera ... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/650539 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of a duplicate bug (650599). There is a bit of a discussion on the following thread relating to this bug: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=9255938#post9255938 In any case, I'd be willing to test a ppa if it's not going to make it into lucid. -- Damien -- Mouse movement corrupted with Xinerama enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/563100 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 354484] Re: OpenGL/GLX not working
I'm hoping to add signal rather than noise to this, but I have symptoms that look largely the same to this bug. However, my story is a little different: I attempted to manually upgrade to the 185 driver directly from NVIDIA (the goal was CUDA 2.2), but it went belly-up so I have reverted back to 180 and my original xorg.conf file, which has worked since 8.04 (there may have been minor tweaks since). I might also add that downgrading to 177 then upgrading back to 180 does _not_ solve the issue, and demonstrates the same symptoms as before. -- OpenGL/GLX not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/354484 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
