[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 755841] Re: [sandybridge] video tearing

2011-11-11 Thread era
Running Kubuntu 11.10 I have tearing, lots of it, full screen (1920 x 1080) and
windowed.
Running Unity (installed in Kubuntu) I have no tearing but blurring.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 689761] Re: Half of emacs window missing

2010-12-16 Thread era
Based on the previous comment, adding a task for xserver-xorg-video-
nouveau. I expect we will be able to mark this as Invalid for emacs23.

Does switching to another driver (e.g. vesa or nv) help?

** Also affects: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 663469] Re: Strange vertical lines in command line

2010-10-20 Thread era
This doesn't seem to be affecting Emacs, as far as I can tell. Marking
as Invalid for emacs23. If you disagree, please clarify how this is an
Emacs bug.

** Changed in: emacs23 (Ubuntu)
   Status: New = Invalid

Clicking Save To X Configuration File causes immediate crash of
nvidia-settings, after running sudo nvidia-settings to set up dual
  monitors using TwinView.

Not sure if this is due to permissions related to the new X config
scheme (i.e. no longer using xorg.conf for display config)? I am also
confused as to why the repo driver is 177.80, but the repo nvidia-
  settings is 177.78?
