[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 986440] Re: Cursor flickers when hovering over icons in System Settings
Is VESA used because I boot with the option i915.modeset=0? If I don't use some version of this option then I will get a black screen (e.g. Question #158272). Does this mean that we should report this as a different type of bug (i.e. a black-screen-bug)? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/986440 Title: Cursor flickers when hovering over icons in System Settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/986440/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

It seems to be the same issue as bug #371563. I disabled the touchpad in the BIOS and, now, left click works fine. It appears not to be possible to disable the touchpad systempreferencesmousetoouchpad in Karmic. -- Left click doesn'r work at log in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/458959 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 458959] [NEW] Left click doesn'r work at log in
Public bug reported: Left mouse click doesn't work. Already at the log in screen (gdm) it fails to work. However, if I log in at a console an restart Xorg (killall Xorg), then left click will work. Generally it will keep on working the entire session after a Xorg restart. Although, the problem seems to be getting worse. The problem started occurring in sporadically in Jaunty some weeks ago (earlier I never had any problems). I did a fresh install of Karmic, hoping to get rid of it, but it has gotten worse. I have tried a few times a xubuntu live cd (9.4) that that has worked without problem. In addition, every time the left click fails to work, alt+tab (shifting between windows) does too. However, the keyboard is otherwise unaffected (as you can see, since this it written with a non-functional mouse). The gradual decline (problem slowly getting worse) suggests that it is some hardware problem, but the fact that restarting Xorg fixes it suggest that it is not. The computer is a 1 1/2 year old Lenovo Thinkpad T61.
