[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 986440] Re: Cursor flickers when hovering over icons in System Settings

2013-02-23 Thread kallek
Is VESA used because I boot with the option i915.modeset=0?
If I don't use some version of this option then I will get a black screen (e.g.
Question #158272). Does this mean that we should report this as a different
type of bug (i.e. a black-screen-bug)?

External monitor doesn't work either. It is not detected.
And, maybe unrelated, suspend doesn't work at all.

Is there some more information that could be useful? Or, maybe something
that I can test?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 458959] Re: Left click doesn'r work at log in

2009-10-26 Thread kallek
It seems to be the same issue as bug #371563. I disabled the touchpad in
the BIOS and, now, left click works fine. It appears not to be possible
to disable the touchpad systempreferencesmousetoouchpad in Karmic.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 458959] [NEW] Left click doesn'r work at log in

2009-10-23 Thread kallek
Public bug reported:

Left mouse click doesn't work. Already at the log in screen (gdm) it fails to
work. However, if I log in at a console an restart Xorg (killall Xorg), then
left click will work. Generally it will keep on working the entire session
after a Xorg restart. Although, the problem seems to be getting worse. The
problem started occurring in sporadically in Jaunty some weeks ago (earlier I
never had any problems). I did a fresh install of Karmic, hoping to get rid of
it, but it has gotten worse. I have tried a few times a xubuntu live cd (9.4)
that that has worked without problem. In addition, every time the left click
fails to work, alt+tab (shifting between windows) does too. However, the
keyboard is otherwise unaffected (as you can see, since this it written with a
non-functional mouse).
The gradual decline (problem slowly getting worse) suggests that it is some
hardware problem, but the fact that restarting Xorg fixes it suggest that it is
not. The computer is a 1 1/2 year old Lenovo Thinkpad T61.
