[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1794033] Re: i965: Failed to submit batchbuffer: Bad address

2019-12-31 Thread mlissner
I'm encountering this about once/day on my Lenovo X1 carbon laptop with
kernel 5.3.0-24-generic.

I'm a developer, but I don't know much beyond that background about how
to fix this. I just know that I'm kind of quickly losing my mind, and
that it wasn't happening when I first started using the laptop.

Are there any solutions that I can try? I can run commands but if
somebody says to install a particular kernel, that's a half-day affair
that'll 50/50 fail as I research things. I'm happy to help though if
there's any way I can, because I can't live with a laptop that
completely crashes every 10 hours or so.

Anything I can do?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 359392] Re: [i965] X freezes starting on April 3rd

2009-05-21 Thread mlissner
So is it safe to say that if the singapore picture (above) doesn't
freeze our system when we have compiz on, that we don't have this bug?
That's my reading of it, but I haven't read all 500 comments.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 363852] Re: [gm45] Kubuntu: X crashes on logout ((EE) intel(0): Failed to initialize kernel memory manager)

2009-05-21 Thread mlissner
I believe I've encountered this bug as well, though not on logout. In my
case, I think it may have to do with a keyboard I am using, since it
only began when I switched to my present one. I am using the intel
graphics card though, so it could be related to that. Not sure, but my X
does crash, and I do have this error with the latest jaunty code.

Let me know if I should post more details or anything.
