[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2016065] [NEW] system unresponsive to any keyboard and mouse input after upgrade to 23.04 beta

Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu Lunar Lobster (development branch)
Release:23.04

After upgrading to the 23.04 beta from 22.10 the system (an ASUS PN-50 mini-PC)
became unresponsive to any (USB) keyboard or mouse input.

This is still the case when the Ubuntu recovery option is chosen in the
boot memory.

Different USB keyboards and mice/plugging unplugging etc have no effect.

The system boots all the way to the Ubuntu login screen and can be
accessed via ssh.

When booted into Windows all is still functioning cortrectly.e

Unclear if this is a libinput problem, or lies elsewhere (kernel?)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1454868] Re: Ubuntu 15.04 Freezes Totally

2015-06-17 Thread professordes
Various Thinkpads (X240, T430s,S440) exhibiting freezing behaviour -
nothing showing in logs. System mostly wakens up again after a minute or
two.

I have tried switching to Cinnamon desktop rather than Unity, no freezes
in that (yet).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1155568] Re: dual monitor support broken - regression vs 12.10

2013-04-18 Thread professordes
My dual monitor setup has been broken since upgrading 12.10-13.04 beta.

Intel Sandybridge , dvi (1920x1080) and hdmi to dvi (1280x1024) output.

Attempting to login to Unity with both monitors connected results in a
hard hang - the desktop appears but is unresponsive and the launcher
strip has purple hue instead of background tint (gray in my case).
Connecting the smaller hdmi to dvi monitor after login works, but
attempting to rotate the smaller screen in system settings then results
in corrupted image on the larger fixed screen.

Reversing the connections (big screen on hdmi to dvi, small screen on
dvi) produces similar behaviour.

xrandr --verbose with both screens attached is appended

Running latest 13.04 beta, amd64. This setup worked fine in 12.10 with
the smaller monitor rotated or not.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1155568] Re: dual monitor support broken - regression vs 12.10

2013-04-18 Thread professordes
Aha - if I switch outputs to dvi (1920x1080) and vga (1280x1024) the
problem disappears..

So, a combination of hdmi and dvi dual monitor output is causing
problems on this setup.
