[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1893774] [NEW] Screen freeze when loging in after a log out
Public bug reported: I use Kubuntu 20.04.1 on Thinpad T495 with encrypted disk (LVMS) and finger print reader. PROBLEM: 1. I boot the laptop and can work 2. I log my user out and try to log in again with te password 3. I enter the password and press enter 4. The screen freezes and shows the login screen. It can only be killed and rebooted. Also, the finger print reader works everywhere, but not in the situation above. These are the seetings of my common-auth file: # here are the per-package modules (the "Primary" block) auth[success=2 default=ignore] pam_fprintd.so max_tries=1 timeout=10 # debug auth[success=1 default=ignore] pam_unix.so nullok_secure try_first_pass But I do NOT think that the problem is related to the fingerprint reader. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1887728] [NEW] Scrumbled screen after standby on encrypted system
Public bug reported: I use Kubuntu 20.04 on an encrypted disk (LVM). Problem: After a standby when you wake up the system with the standby button again, the screen is for a short moment "scrambled" then the login dialog is presented and one can log in. This scrambled screen is only a cosmetic problem, but it does not fit the overall good design of the system. That's why I think it should be fixed. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1733083] Re: trackpoint slow and hard to move
>From my side I would like to add: * On my Lenovo Thinkpad T495 the TrackPoint acceleration is not optimal (compared to Win10) * TrackPoint is hard to move and if you make it faster then the acceleration is too fast * Separate settings only for TrackPoint sensivity are missing * My other machine is HP Elitebook 8570p. The TP is very slow there. Not really fun to work with it, either * It would be good it somebody coud look at it as I assume that the problem exists at least on most of Thinkpads and HP machines with trackpoints and for several years already * I do not see it as a small "cosmetic" problem, but as a basic system seeting allowing to use TrackPoint at all. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libinput in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1733083 Title: trackpoint slow and hard to move To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/libinput/+bug/1733083/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1872452] [NEW] Boot into black screen without power supply (Kubuntu on AMD / Thinkpad T495)
Public bug reported: Always when I turn on my Lenovo Thinkpad T495 (AMD CPU)- without the power supply connected - the laptop boots correctly at the beginning, but then just before going to the login screen it gets black. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 887933] Re: KDE taskbar (the bottom panel) doesn't respond occasionally
Affects me using: 3.2.0-39-generic-pae #62-Ubuntu SMP Wed Feb 27 22:25:11 UTC 2013 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Unfortunately, can't confirm whether it will recover, since it's still like it currently after about 15 minutes. Might need to reboot or maybe restarting KDM might fix it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/887933 Title: KDE taskbar (the bottom panel) doesn't respond occasionally To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/887933/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
