[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1594011] [NEW] Radeon GPU driver crashes while playing games

2016-06-18 Thread Valerio
Public bug reported:

This happens every time i play Team Fortress 2. Sometimes the game
freezes completely and after 10-20 seconds it recovers itself. Looking
at dmesg output seems like the GPU driver crashes and restarts. I'm

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1194305] [NEW] Joystick Trust 16784 detected on js0 but unresponsive

2013-06-24 Thread Valerio
Public bug reported:

On Ubuntu 13.04
Trust 16784 joystick is detected on /dev/input/js0, but if i cat it i don't get
any input (this is a simple way to test an input device: if pressing buttons
you see scrambled characters, it works). Also, any calibration program detects
it but can't get any axis or button.
After connecting it, the leds start to blink. Pressing the home button makes
them steady, but nothing changes. That's to show the device is turned on.
On Windows it works normally.

Tried it on Asus X501A laptop, both on usb2 and usb3 port.
I'm using latest xserver-xorg-input-joystick (1:1.6.1-1build1) and latest
kernel (3.8.0-25.37), with every joystick-related package installed.

I attached some informations on this device

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 726952] Re: [i945gm] Xorg HUGE memory leak with firefox and large fonts

2011-05-14 Thread valerio
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected natty running-unity ubuntu

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xorg

Not sure if this is to be considered a Firefox or X bug. If I open a
html file with some big font in it, like the one attached, as I start
scrolling up-down and left-right around the page the X process start
eating memory so fast that in few seconds the kernel starts OOM killing,
or it pages so violently it takes ages to kill X even using Alt -SysRq
-k. I've 3Gb of physical memory and gets filled in a matter of seconds.
If you manage to kill firefox in time X does not release the memory.

I consider this a really serious problem, and do not know whether is an
X or firefox problem. With chrome everything is ok.
